OVER WHITACRE, in Domesday “Whitacre,” and “Witecore,” is a small parish, close to Shustoke station on the Birmingham and Leicester branch of the Midland railway, 3 ¾ miles north-east from Coleshill, 6 south-west from Atherstone and 14 east from Birmingham, in the Northern division of the county, Atherstone division of the hundred of Hemlingford, Coleshill petty sessional division.
